I was just curious if MS could be TMS as well? As anyone else ever had MS symptoms and wondered if is TMS? Any repsonse will be greatly appreciated. THanks Jimmy

Sorry to hear that 2scoops. I don't know anything about MD, but I believe the psyche has some influence on all illness and pain - not necessarily causing it, as with TMS, but on one's ability, or not, to fight it.

My aunt is getting worse. I just found out she was also diagnosed with a form of MD that affects her throat. She has trouble swallowing. My dad has the same thing, he has to eat real slow. His eyes are also affected, his eye lids started drooping down to where he couldn't see, he had to have two surgeries to raise his eye lids. But my aunt has fibro, chronic back pain, sciatica, and MS. I gave her Sarno's books, but she has not read them. I also gave her a book called Deadly Emotions, which states the mindbody-spirit. But it just seems she keeps getting more and more symptoms. I have been praying for her and I hope she can be a little more open to her repressed emotions. My grandfather was verbally abusive. My dad said he never had anything good to say to any of them. He was in a wheelchair evey since I can remember. He had full blown MD. Now it affects my aunts and father. I am beginning to wonder if there is a correlation between MD and the pysche.

Hi. I was diagnosed with a "mild" from of MS
(see http://www.tmshelp.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=153 )

Since overcoming RSI using Sarno I became convinced that the MS, at least in my case, was all TMS, and have not had another attack since. Since the above post, I've also come to realise that the bladder control problems, which I had previously thought were "permanent" damage from my worst MS attack, are also TMS. Although deeply conditioned, the variation in the symptoms, convinced me of that. As soon as I made that realisation, I noticed improvements.

Sarno is reluctant to go all out and say that such a (in many cases) serious disease is TMS (same with cancer), but he clearly has suspicions, and I've become more convinced after reading other mindbody literature (e.g. Norman Cousins, who cured himeslf of another "autoimmune" disease, rheumatoid arthritis)

Have you been diagnosed? How's your aunt, 2scoops?

All the best.

I had created a post once asking the same question. Someone said they had been diagnosed with MS and the work they did with TMS cured them. Maybe do a search in the forum here for Multiple Sclerosis and see if that thread pops up.
