Posted - 07/10/2014 : 11:36:30 I have been diagnosed as having CPPS. Essentially, tight pelvic muscles. I've read that CPPS can/usually is a TMS equivalent. However, I have some symptoms that aren't exactly like the classical case. These include stinging during urination, pressure on the bladder while going, and stinging/stabbing nerve like pain on genitals.
I asked the DR if these symptoms were a part of the CPPS diagnosis, and he simply said he did not know.
I would like to approach these in a TMS way, but I have never heard of anyone saying they had similar TMS issues. However, with the DR unsure I am not sure what else to do. |

**Sure I can lay down on a bed of nails and not have pain but why am I having back pain when laying down on a soft mattress? |

Posted - 07/20/2014 : 07:11:54 Call or email Dr. Schubiner in Michigan and ask if your symptoms could be TMS or as he calls it Mbs.
I've talked to three or four others with same or similar symptoms as you. Look up Kjarvis's posts here. |

Posted - 07/11/2014 : 13:23:33 TMS symptoms are highly variable, depending on what is most successful at grabbing your attention. Assuming you had a full medical workup and no serious disease or structural issue was discovered, there is no harm in treating the symptoms as TMS. |

If the doc didn't know, that's probably good. Modern medicine is good at DX'ing. Given that you have a competent dr., if he didn't seem overly concerned and send you off to a specialist or a battery of tests, that bodes well for TMS.
