Those are both GREAT! I don't know if you can get it where you are but Steven Ray Ozanich's "THE GREAT PAIN DECEPTION" is a veritable text book/Bible of TMS wisdom. If you can't get a hard copy maybe you can Kindle it. His great TMS tome covers so many areas of psychology and psychosomatic medicine it's a practical education of bodymind functioning.

Posted - 04/01/2014 : 10:25:25 Be thankful the doc said no surgery, I nearly died from dental work. I got a Ludwig's Angina (named after the doc who died from it). No surgery is ROUTINE! Infections, complications and cutting off the wrong leg happen.
Did you catch the hernia from your pappy? If it's TMS possibly. It's the age old argument NATURE OR NURTURE. The only ones who know the answer to this are the chicken or the egg.
"PARENTS JUST DIVORCED": This is a cauldron for TMS neuropeptide proliferation. Candace Pert's petri dishes were full of them. Look up the Rahe-Holmes list and see where it stands on the tension chart.

Posted - 04/01/2014 : 02:04:31 Half a year has passed since I tell to my father to go check himself with x-rays or something for inguinal hernia because he is suffering from 2 years. He gone to a doctor (simple doc instant checks by touching) but he said that the hole is too little for surgery...
My story is that I got a minor pain in the lower abdomen/groin than 2 weeks. Is it a coincidence or? I can lift heavy weigth without pain but it appears when resting.
Also my parents just divorced. |

Posted - 03/30/2014 : 17:28:02 Lifting belts don't usually cover that portion of the lower abdominal area where inguinal hernias occur. In the old days, they used trusses (not sure if they're still in use). |

I personally never understood what benefit they had, if anything they make your back weaker because you aren't using all your muscles.
I personally think they are all for show anyway but I am also not a doctor or giving medical advice, just my experience.
**Sure I can lay down on a bed of nails and not have pain but why am I having back pain when laying down on a soft mattress? |

Posted - 02/15/2014 : 06:18:58 Dr. Sarno has stated that similar belts worn by workers in big box stores, loading docks, garbage trucks, moving vans, etc. are unnecessary, so I would think that they're of no use to a weightlifter or bodybuilder. In all my years of performing very heavy squats, deadlifts and presses, I've never felt the need to use one. I do own one, however, and it looks quite decorative hanging on the wall. |
