Posted - 01/20/2014 : 14:37:30 My TMS symptoms have decreased significantly over the few years I've developed an understanding of TMS. My pain used to be severe 24/7, and now it is a light pain. However, it becomes very severe whenever I run or do any other form of exercise. I try to not think about the pain, because I feel as though that only perpetuates the problem. But it's extremely difficult to block out severe pain when you're exerting your body during exercise.
I sometimes feel torn between giving my subconscious attention and trying to ease any inner tension, or ignoring the pain altogether and trying not to think about- something I have found to be extremely difficult.
Has anyone else dealt with this, and found it possible to push through the pain during exercise, and cause the pain to cease altogether? I've been struggling with this pain for years now, and although I see improvement in my symptoms, I truly want to get back to my full running ability again. |

My question is why do you workout?
**Sure I can lay down on a bed of nails and not have pain but why am I having back pain when laying down on a soft mattress? |
