Hi Everyone,

I thought this study out of New York University had implications for TMS and its treatment:

http://www.thehealthymind.com/2013/08/27/why-stress-makes-it-harder-to-control-our-emotions/

Researchers looked at the impact of even mild stress on an individual's ability to remember - and then utilize - coping skills they had recently learned.I think you will find the results pretty interesting.

It really emphasizes the fact that no matter what the struggle is, we have to keep reinforcing new information and coping skills over and over again until the effects of everyday stress don't derail what we have learned.

I couldn't help but think how important this is in TMS recovery, especially when we are incorporating all this information early on in treatment.

I hope you find the information helpful.

Kindly,
Dr. Z
