Just started reading his book, "Back In Control". The first chapter is by Dr. Schubiner. Hanscom is an orthopedic surgeon in Seattle,
he found surgery is not an effective treatment for back pain.
(he had surgery,too) Will post again when I finsih reading. He has
a good website, that I have not explored yet. |

Dr. Hanscom's book helped me tremendously. It removed most of my doubt that my symptoms were TMS. |

I read a draft of this book some time ago (David Hanscom allowed free downloads while he was writing the book), and it made a huge contribution to my understanding of tms. I recall I was in a black hole of fear and pain at the time and his words soothed me. I derived a lot of faith from his explanations that even people at the end of the road could be helped and could heal. He's a salvage spinal surgeon which basically means people who have endured botched or 'unsuccessful' surgery/fusions end up at his door. I appreciated the personal elements too, it gave an additional measure of comfort.
Great to visit the new site and see how the whole thing has evolved. For any curious souls, do take a look as there are plenty of free resources.
