I thought I would mention this to anyone looking at this forum for specific keywords. I know I did when I came here.

In my journey with TMS I forgot to mention when all the pains left me for good I had developed a condition known as "hydrodenitis" basically it was these lumps in my armpit. They were big and painful, I went to the doctor because I thought the worst, lumps lymphoma etc.

My doctor understanding mindbody medicine but not quite tms told me it was an inflammed sweat gland and if the creams and the antibiotics dont work I will cut it out and send it to the lab.

Creams and antibiotics made it smaller but it didnt go away. He removed the sweat gland and sent it in for tests. Nothing.. Said I am not cleaning right or that I should get electrolisis under my arm pit.

A week after he removed the one sweat gland, four more appeared this time one was on the other side! I looked up cures online and all said that it was some sort of autoimmune thing that never goes away.

I was using no deodorant and natural organic oatmeal soup. Soaking in a hot tub a few times a week. That made the pain better but when I saw the lesions were not going away I called Dr.Sarno to ask him what he thought.

Another manifestation of TMS. I payed no more attention to it and the bumps went away. I think it took a month or so.

But whenever I used regular deodorant after a few weeks I would get the bumps.

Went to Toms of Maine for their natural stuff.

But also whenever I got the bumps it happened to coincide with a major life stressor or event all while using regular soaps etc!

It's been almost three years and I havent had any bumps and I have been using regular soaps, deodorants etc.

If you look this condition up it says "no cure".

Thanks, will purchase this tomorrow.

Because this isnt my "issue" anymore. I looked up some stuff on the internet about it.

This can be a very debilitating disease.

This is just reinforcing everything I knew about TMS and my current groin pains.

Ice, thanks for posting. Definitely interesting. In SteveO's book, in Appendix A (TMS equivalents), he talks about over/under sweating being the result of the autonomic nervous system not properly regulating itself. He also talks about swollen glands, once ruled out in an exam, as being TMS equivalents too.
