Oh my goodness. Yes, I have 5 kids and a busy job. And yes, it's hard for me to find even a moment here and there to visit this forum or any other. Having said this, I am floored by this debate.
I have only one thing to contribute:
Acid does more damage to the vessel in which it is stored, than that on which it is poured. Lovely people - thank you for defending my integrity to a group who might never know that I came here initially with such innocence and peace. I had, literally, no clue what i was "in for." My only experience of the Sarno community has been one of loving kindness and acceptance. The years I spent with Dr. Sarno and his patients, we were always a team. Everyone simply wanted to grow kindness and promote healing. This forum was not what I expected. Then again, life lessons are important. And I learned a big one here.
Just know this: if you want to be out of pain, I will help you. Your kindness will lead the way. The ones who choose anger will choose their own fate.

Maccafan, don't feel any guilt about this, you have done nothing wrong here, as the saying goes, "Let no good deed go unpunished." I'm sure Nicole will not be damaged by this absurdity at a very obscure message board, although I'm sure she was a little taken aback by that kind of weird unwelcome antagonistic reception she received at a place dedicated to the works and teachings of Dr. Sarno, who she was closely associated with for many years. This board is un-moderated, so anyone can say whatever they want, (until you know who goes running to the mod). Like that great movie, "KING OF HEARTS", the inmates are running this asylum, and it sometimes imitates life in the outside world with all it's TMS creating absurdity.

Hi Tom,
Dave had to delete your thread because you attacked a family member, and the OP (Nicole) was hard-selling her product... something clearly outlined in the TOS as being not allowed. You decided to hitch your wagon to someone who was breaking the rules, and insulted a host of other people in the process.
We have more than one poster from Germany here. You referred to someone as a "good German," and no matter how you try to spin that, it's highly racially insensitive and classless.
You then compared Nicole to Jesus, which was of course ignorant and insensitive as well.
Finally, you continue to reference my children. Now Tom, I'm fairly sure you wouldn't try that in person... but protected by the shield of the internet, you continue to attack my children and family. My kids are excellent, Tom... the person with the problem is you. You are perfectly happy to attack a 6 year old simply because someone disagrees with you.
The mod (Dave) has erased your posts in the past for personal and family attacks, which says a lot. I'd think you'd have enough respect for him and his forum to discontinue that line of classless, juvenile attacks... and stick to the subject matter. I have not chosen to mention your personal life, and you may want to consider having enough class to do the same.
You also want to remember that your IP address is attached to every post. Nothing ever really goes away on the internet. So, every time you slander and attack someone, Dave's forum is liable. (Don't think so? Do your homework. Dave knows it is, which is why he deletes your personal attacks.)
You managed to run several people off of this forum and had the gal to belittle Balto and managed to get in HIllbilly's face, two of the most lovely and charitable people on this forum. I've stated before, I won't be intimidated by your god complex, Tom. We can stick to the subject matter or you can continue to embarrass yourself. Your call.

Other adults will have opinions here. That's something you'll have to get used to.

Adults will sometimes have opinions that are different from yours.
You are correct, I viewed Nicoles thread as a sales thread and a little offensive. That is my right as a forum member. The owner of the forum agreed, and deleted the thread due to violation of TOS, in addition to your personal attacks involving race an people's children.
"Other professionals" reserve the right to their opinion. Ace is highly respected here and he voiced his own concerns politely about a $400 program making claims of 2-hour cures. Again Tom, no one on this forum has asked you to control public opinion or make this forum safe for product pushers.... in fact, the actions of the moderator has indicated that indeed the aim is to have TOS respected.
I'v been involved in business, art, music and other public endeavors for 30 years. I've had my work cut down (and celebrated) in more ways than I can count. Anyone who makes their first appearance on a public forum claiming to be people's savior or mentioning their book in capital letters I'm every post needs to also have the guts to realize not everyone will like their product or their approach.

****This is a free forum for those inclined to post their opinion and many people took exception to various aspects of particular approaches used by those attempting to move products or create buzz about themselves.
No one is going to stop having opnions here because you believe you control public thought. No one has asked you to protect them. The reason you are "flapping in the wind" is because 98% of the grown ups here realize it's fine for other grown ups to have and post their opinions on a public opinion board.
You may feel the credibility of this forum is bolstered by the latest 2-hour cure peddler, and others may not. But more importantly, no one has aske you to protect them. You think other people are wrong, great! Say so. Other people will do the same. We are all grown ups, including those here to move products.
However, insulting people by attacking threir young children, families, race or making offensive religious blows is not necessary and frankly reflects way more on the person making such attacks than it does the person you are attacking
We are all free to express ourselves here, Tom. I invite you to do so. If you endorse the 2-hour cure or find Nicole analogous to Jesus, please spread the word! But be prepared for others to take exception because that is how it goes with adults in a forum solely created for posting questions, thoughts and yes.... opinions.

Bryan was only making allowances for those who might prefer to sell their books rather than donate. Selling one copy of a book one presumably bought is different from an author promoting their own book, whether one is cool with that or not. |

Frankly I'm disgusted by the lack of courage by the professionals who post here on a regular basis to speak up against this and leave me flying in the wind to pretty much do it on my own, save for a few others who know who they are. I don't have any problem with Bryan selling his books, and he did say "sell", he is the one who has the problem with legitimate TMS experts and past sufferers to tell their stories here and help others. Ace "in all fairness", what did you have to say about that?
