24. Try to think of the big picture when applying these techniques and when trying to achieve relaxation. Most people with symptoms are too detail oriented and are intense in that regard. They also try to apply this detail orientation and intensity to their symptoms and to trying to get rid of them.

When one looks to see if they are emotionally uncomfortable or strained, it is better to look at it from a general/big picture sense than focusing and trying to find some tiny little detail. Part of your cure is to stop thinking in this manner and to now be more laid back and think of the big picture.

So ... I think of the Big Picture of Ace1's Keys... and can I boil it down to what his big picture really is ... and I think it comes down to this:

Be at peace in the mind all the time, as much as possible. Be OK w/ things as they are.
Even pain and pestilence.

Well, that's the best I could do for the moment...

Or maybe just ... Don't mentally strain anymore. It's ok.

Anybody else have a short "big picture" of the Keys?

It's really been a pleasure. I think a good many are benefiting from the day-by-day unthreading. It's easy to feel overwhelmed.
Here's another 'big picture' view:

" Begin modulating thought in terms of the way that it feels rather than in terms of the results that it will net you. The tendency is to flow a little Energy and then take score. Well, the problem is, as you flow the Energy, the Universe responds instantly. But when you take score, you're right back in that reality again."

Thanks, Shawn! good one !

I was also thinking .... in the "big picture" whether Ace1's "Strain theory" is right or wrong, if I follow his Keys I WILL become less mentally strained over time, and there can't be anything but good come from THAT, whether or not I am "completely cured" !

When I think of the big picture while applying these techniques, I think about how we are always "checking" to see how were are doing. We try applying a technique or healing key and then we immediately check and ask "Is it working yet?" Like some child in the back seat of a car who keeps saying every 5 minutes, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" (STFU brat or I am going to swat you) But no one step is going to take us to our destination, but a number of steps applied over a period of time. We, like the impatient child, can get bogged down with the individual steps or keys and ask "Am I well yet? Am I well yet?" But the healing process is cumulative, that is why we have to continually, in our mind's eye, see the big picture as if it was literally right in front of us. When we do this we will stop asking "are we there yet?" and know that each and every day, when we apply these keys to healing, brings us a little bit closer to our destination.
