I know a man from our local CFS/fibro group that is totally crippled with total body pain, insomnia and anxiety. He is 43 years old and was a firefighter and serious athlete. Now he can hardly walk – has had every medical test and scan known to science.
I was talking to him last night about TMS and he reported that he thinks he has buried guilt and fear. For many years in his previous marriage he had numerous affairs (like 30 years ago) then he started stealing things from work = mostly small stuff. He has been 100% faithful to his present wife of 30 years.
He stopped this about a year ago but still has very low self esteem and some self dislike. He called this morning in severe anxiety and pain and told me he thinks he feel guilty and scared inside but he also wonders if his anxiety is just making him think he feels guilt.

Yes, sounds like he's in great FEAR of going to "hell" for his previous actions. It would probably help him greatly to start making amends. |
