Posted - 02/04/2013 : 10:20:04 I am wondering if anyone here has had SUCCESS treating dry eye and chronic red veins in the eyes via Dr. Sarno's methods.
I am a success story on TMS for many things -- back pain, knee pain, and oral thrush (which took a while for me to figure out that is what it was, but once I used the TMS theory on it, it was gone within days after treating it for years with traditional medical approaches).
About 12 years ago I had a few chronic infections in my eyes -- like pink eye (which itself may have been TMS) and since then I have had permanent red veins in my eyes. They are unsightly and make me very self concious and have affected my life because I am less out going and I ALWAYS shy away from photos. there are almost no photos of me from the last ten years. My eyes recently started to feel "dry" again, but my eye doctor confirmed that my tears are sufficient and my eyes are healthy. So I am not scared about any big issues. But the veins are stressful and I fixate on them. I recently started wondering if they might be TMS related and wondering if anyone has had this and had success dealing with it.
I know I can use visine (though it is not recommended) and I know there are now surgeries that can whiten the eyes. But I want to try to heal this myself and reverse the veins, even though I have had them for years.
I'm worried people here will start fear-mongering and telling me there are very bad things wrong with me -- please rest assured I know there are not. My vision is fine, it's just these red veins that I hate. All my girlfriends have beautiful white moist eyes and I feel very unattractive with mine.
Any thoughts that are related to TMS theory would be appreciated.
Thank you! |

Posted - 02/06/2013 : 06:28:02 Thought I'd immediately share this with you.
While putting my mascara on today, I noticed sonething quite wonderful. On the upper lashline of my left eye I've had a horrible little cyst for quite a while. Had it looked at and all that, was told it was benign and then kinda forgot about it when my tmj monster took over.
Today, happy day, I notice that it has completely gone. I thought it was there for keeps but not so. Now I simply need to treat my jaw with the same disdain. |

http://www.tmshelp.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7765
We're also going through them day-by-day, a venture we're midway through. For this search for Ace of the Day and you'll find each key complete with peoples thoughts and insights. There is a seperate place on this forum where people place their success stories so have a peep at them. There are plenty of folk here who have healed and who graciously nudge the rest of us along. I'm sure they'll offer the benefits of their wisdom if you stick around a while.

Posted - 02/04/2013 : 12:03:32 Hi, I think the so called "sicca syndrome" aka dry eyes was the first symptom I suffered from (I was 12 when it began and it already lasts). My eyes are so dry that the eyelids get stuck onto my eyeballs. The problem: when I don't use my eye drops to get some fluid into my eyes it often leads to conjunctivitis. So it's a bit difficult for me to "withdraw" from the drops.
I found some interesting article (unfortunately in German language). Therein the therapist mentions tensed muscles in and around the eyes which afflict the lacrimal glands in producing tears. Sounds pretty TMS-like, doesn't it?
Kind regards from Germany sends Birdie |
