Posted - 01/12/2013 : 15:18:22 hi all. I have just added to my website (www.drjamesalexander-psychologist.com) the recordings from a 1 day chronic pain workshop which i conducted recently. You can either listen to them from the page (click on the 'Training & Workshops' button on the left of the homepage, or download the each of the 5 sessions MP3's for free). If listening from other parts of the world, you may have to make allowances for my Australian accent (but remember, in this part of the world, i dont have an accent at all!), but hopefully you can understand what i am saying. The sessions may be particularly helpful to people who are new to the TMS approach, so feel free to share them with friends/family.

Posted - 01/18/2013 : 13:48:19 Thanks, Dr James! and thanks to everyone who has commented on this thread. I am downloading them now and really look forward to listening to them. I also love the Australian accent and one of my favourite animals is the WOMBAT! (did you know there is an actual WOMBAT DAY?!) - RSR |

Posted - 01/18/2013 : 13:44:39 Bumping this because it's very interesting.
I'd also recommend downloading the complete files. I've tried on my phone but it kicks back to the beginning from time to time. Very interesting stuff. And the accent is pleasant, not distracting. |

Posted - 01/15/2013 : 12:44:40 I just finished listening to the 5+ hours of recording and I can testify that it is really a great addition. I like your theory of "exceptions" that I used completely independently successfully (I made my own recordings reinforcing what you call exceptions). The exceptions being the pain that has strange patterns and that can be used as a reminder of the psychogenic origin of the pain. |

Posted - 01/15/2013 : 12:01:31 I want to thank-you for providing us with this service. I am very interested. I intend to listen as soon as I get a good internet connection. We live in Panama and the services are not always so good.
