Posted - 11/09/2012 : 13:07:51 I believe I have suffered from a lot of tms: back pain, shoulder pain, hyperventilation, anxiety, panic attacks, tmj, etc. that being said, I don't know if this is tms and am hoping someone can help. I recently began having gritty eyes with twitching eyelids. I think that could be attributed to tms, but the part that scares me is that a few times when I woke up in the morning my left eye wouldn't open. It did open after a few seconds, but it was like I didn't have control over it. Also, at night when I'm watching tv or tired, it's really hard to keep open. It sounds a lot like blepharospasm, which is a neurological progressive disease. I've seen my doctors, but there are no tests and so it's a wait and see approach. I am a 30 year old healthy woman, working on having a baby. I have always had to have an obsession and worry about something. I thought it was all justified last year when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I was successfully treated, but now I have this problem. I don't know if its just something new to obsess about or I really do have some rare progressive neurological disorder. Apparently, neither do the doctors. Anyone here with anything similar or any thoughts? Thank you!

I'm usually working or running in the opposite direction of that issue. How exactly have you been working on this issue, maybe we can offer some TMS advice in that department? I've always heard the surest way of getting pregnant is to adopt first. If it's a matter of technique, I know of a good free internet sight, that came highly recommended by my Dell mechanic, offering instructional videos in that regard.
G'luck whatever it is you are trying to accomplish.

Posted - 11/10/2012 : 05:41:23 hypochondria is a terrible symptom. Many people I know never get over it. Wrong perception about your health condition keep your symptoms alive and produced others symptoms. What you have are just different symptoms of the same disease, anxiety/stress.

Posted - 11/09/2012 : 22:19:34 Thanks for the responses! I just joined this forum, but I will definitely read your posts. I read Sarno's books a few years ago and was convinced then that I have TMS, but whenever I've said I'm going to buckle down and do the work I never do. It's not that I'm lazy. It's more that when I think of having to stop my almost daily research on the Internet about whatever issue I'm having at the time, I get anxiety. It's like something's being taken away from me. That being said, the symptoms just get scarier, and I am committed this time to following through. Thanks again for your time and responses. I'm looking forward to getting better and I really appreciate both of you commenting.
