Posted - 10/20/2012 : 19:52:19 Nobody really talks about the pain. Its in the pelvis its in the penis, with urethral burning. Its this pulling, squeezing sensation from the testicles to my rectum...feel like my rectum is on fire (no hems) have IBS, and all that. The Saddest part I have had this four years November and Ive been married 3 in a half...I have had this my ENTIRE marriage...I can't even have sex without pain...we have to plan around my "good" days I know it bothers her...so yea I'm frustrated and feeding it right now. Ive been in therapy through anxiety centre tried it all do meditation...and such read all the books...reading Steve's and it's hard to be positive. I don't know what else to do. Some days are better than others but never goes away. I wish I could be Dave and someone say you dont have it and be healed. Any thoughts?

Posted - 10/26/2012 : 07:31:57 anyone else with this also have trouble making a BM? i always feel like unless it's small and really really soft i have trouble getting anything out. not sure if it's tension or the size of the opening. i did have surgery to correct a fissure and my big issue now is figuring out whether i have some sort of stenosis or simply excessive muscle tension. there is no question i have tons of stress and anxiety related to going to the bathroom (runs my life) but no matter what i do it always seems like the stuff coming out is narrow. haven't had a large BM (in width) since i've been monotoring this over the last couple years. |

Posted - 10/25/2012 : 12:55:58 See for me its the pain in the penis...the feeling like the muscle is being squeezed burning slash painful sensation. I have read headache in the pelvis, talked with Dr. Wise who invited me to his 7000 dollar clinic for a week and who espouses fingers up your anus to remove "trigger points" in the muscle that will go away NO other way. I tried that for a year with no success. First started it was 80-90 out of 100 pain now most days its 20 with major days being 40-45. i cannot shake the muscle tension no matter what I do. The pain in the butt sucks too.

Posted - 10/24/2012 : 04:37:18 For prostatitis... Read the book , a headache in the pelvis,it was muscle tension for me,everytime I had sex,its got real bad,the mental component for me was my wifes family pressuring me to have children,it was my bodies way of putting the brakes on.now that kids are here..... What prostatitis? |

Posted - 10/21/2012 : 16:07:58 I know what you mean about stop googling. It's so sad you go online and the ONLY cure they say is to have someone stick their finger up your rectum and massage the muscles...I did that for over a year with no success so I Don't believe that's the answer...other than this site and anxietycentre.com Its hard to find resources on how to quell the pain its SUCH a bummer and attacks me right at my "manhood"

Posted - 10/21/2012 : 15:16:15 My fix: get an affordable hobby you can enjoy...and stop googling! The hobby that did it for me is four wheeling with my kids and model building...create your wn distraction other tham focusing on equivalents |

Posted - 10/21/2012 : 15:09:39 Here is the thing, with TMS there is no special or unique way to beat any particular symptom. If it is TMS, which in this case it is, follow the guidelines for recovery provided by Dr. Sarno and other TMS writers. My Prostatitis is gone but now I have other equivalents.
Best wishes. |

Posted - 10/21/2012 : 12:40:21 I have interstitial cystitis, being a women I have heard the symptoms are much like prostatitis in men, I feel your pain. I have also had it the whole time I have been married and we have to plan our sex around it, even though it never has gone away completely in 7 years. I made myself believe it was due to candida/microbe overgrowth and overuse of antibiotics/allergies/ and saw many natural doctors who claim to be able to cure it. I have talked to several women and a few men who were able to "cure" it with a very limited diet and supplement for over two years. I tried to do this but could never stick to the diet. Its meat and veges ONLY for a LONG time. I have now found TMS and I am now trying to REVERSE and believe is TMS and NOT the other stuff, I am almost there but not quite..trying to get over the fact that I have never had a good day yet since it began and knowing others who have gotten rid of it other ways. I know there are people on this site who have overcome prostatitis and interstitial cystitis, so there is hope! |
