Hi,I have suffered back pain in various lcations and degrees of severity for the past 20 years or so. Throughout 2012 I have been in constant pain but in July discovered Dr Sarnos books. I am glad to say I am now back at work, running, keeping fit. However I am still having some stiffnes and lack of flexibility, some days this is annoying somedays downright painfull. Can anyone suggest how I get rid of this last tiny bit of TMS it feels like I get so far then my brain just wont let go.

No problem Boaz, I remember stopping all other forms of treatment like chiro and therapy. It does give us doubt because we like to lean on something. The alternative treatments are safety nets, like focusing on the body. The brain needs something to focus on, if not chiro, if not body, then what? Focus on the problems in your life. And finding real happiness.

The fact that you panicked after missing the appt. shows it is TMS.

Good luck
Steve

SteveO, thanks for your kind reply. I feel a bit silly now as I posted yesterday without having thoroughly resaerched this forum. By the time you replied I had indeed read the post you refer to along with many other insirational posts. I had also ordered your book from Amazon and crucially listened to a radio interview which you gave. In that interview you spoke of an advertisement for sports shoes with the slogan "Just do it" this resonated greatly with me and made me realise that although I have come part of the way I have not fully engaged nor fully accepted the TMS cure, I believe this is caused by my own fear and my inability to remain focused on thinking psychological (a very new concept for me). Yesterday was a particularly bad day as it was the first time in many years that I have deliberately missed a chiropractic appointment, I thought I would feel liberated by this but it was quite the opposite it gave me a panic attack. Today however is a new day, I woke this morning and my first thought was "just do it" thanks SteveO,and thanks to everyone on this forum for yopur inspirational stories, advice and resource links.

Boaz, I gave some suggestions for "this last tiny bit" in a recent post, in case you're interested.

Glowgirl reposted it called "SteveO's Post." Is that confusing enough? I hate to type it all out again.

If you find it, I hope it helps you. Stiffness is definitely part of TMS. Tension can manifest in any form.

Steve
