Hello everyone,

I've been lurking for a while in grateful if silent receipt of your many sage and helpful words. This afternoon I'm relaxing in my favourite restaurant enjoying a coffee while people-watching and thought it's high time I left the shadows, not only to know you but to heal.

Warm hugs,

plum

No worries, Plum, your email came through, but being a TMS procrastinator, I have to wait for all the planets to line up right before coming up with a clever response--it's a small miracle I can do this after after someone just put a vodka martini in my hands and ordered me to drink it.

Very frustrating when a great post vanishes into the internet black-hole. Get your energies back up and rewrite when the mood returns and back-up--easier said then done.

Cheers and have a nasty Saturday night.

God love you.
I did draft an edifying piece on ageing and femininity but the internet ate it.
And I sent you mail but completely failed to pass your email challenge and response. I'm an idiot child who should probably play with cushions.

He, He, I've heard the Good Doctor says that to a lot of his patients prior to palpation.

plum Posted - 08/18/2012 : 15:45:45
So I went to my doctor and he says "I don't know how to tell you this but you've just got to stop masturbating", "why" I replied, "so that I can examine you" he says.

Plum you are so right. Aging is enraging especially when it concerns sexuality. With life expectancy at around 82 and women expected to outlive their spouses by say another 10 yrs they are looking to live another 30 to 40 yrs after menopause.

It's a lot to take in and there is no doubt in my mind that a positive attitude is important. We have to look after ourselves both physically & mentally & do things that make us happy. I love the feeling and the empowerment that I have when I can get a man to pay attention to me. And I believe that a woman at any age can do that. It's about attitude.

My husband is always teasing me about how he can walk away for a while & find that I'm talking to some strange man by the time he comes back. In fact he says jokingly that he thinks he cramps my style. That way I consider myself very lucky that I have a husband who does not feel threatened & knows that it is completely harmless, which it is.

The third age for women can be a very fulfilling time, a time of personal discovery & growth. It's up to us.

So here's to more flirting

Honestly, I sometimes really get fed up with my subconscious. It's like it's got a mind of its own.

In all seriouness Mala, and without veering into more classical Freudian territory, it's worth remembering that socially speaking sexuality is a huge player in the shadow. Flirting is fun. It loosens us up, makes us laugh, takes us out of our minds.
And you're absolutely right about the health benefits. The sweet slow release of pleasure nicely recalibrates the ole soothe~rage ratio.

Hugs x

TT let me know when you are having that ' tantric' party and I'll bring along my Big Kama Sutra book with all those colourful illustrations.

Did you know that doing all that Tantric stuff is touted as being especially good at getting rid of depression & stress? Increases serotonin , and HGH & endocrine function too.

Maybe I should stop here. I'm a bit worried that Dave just might decide that it's getting a bit too much.

I'm having fun though.

All the best
Mala

A sleepy good morning to everyone. I'm tickled pink by all your warm and cuddly responses and say to any lurkers thinking of taking a dip 'come on in, the water's fine and dandy'.

Big McCartney fan too. Music is soul food.

And Tom, you lookin' for somewhere to 'hide that hotdog'?

I just loudly LOL'ed this. Poor Mala had us goin at her at all fronts about taking her pain meds lol. I hope that she has found some relief from them and not having to much trouble with the side effects. I think I will make a post inquiring how she is doing.

Good idea TJ, while your at it ask her about that Tantra Yoga thing, she's Indian. I've got a Tantra Yoga video I pull out at parties and it's a better ice breaker than playing Twisters.

(message for tennis tom)----- Hey Tom, I think you've finally met your match. She sounds as smart and witty as you do. This should be interesting, very interesting.

Yes Maccafan, this shy Plum girl may not be the delicate flower she makes herself out to be using big words like "favOURite" and "euphemisim"--just remember there is no OUR in "team". I may have to fire and get a new team of writers, agents and PR people in order to combat this newbie--not to mention that SteveO guy, who makes up new words like "transmogrication"--that's not playing fair. I may have to dig into my archive and dust off some smart-ass oldies but goodies like: "The hot-dog is the noblest of dogs; it feeds the hand that bites it." by Dr. Laurence Johnston Peter, who invented the "Peter Principle"--look it up if you don't believe me! We've even gotten Mala out of her shell--now that we've gotten her all drugged up.

We may have to form TMS teams and reopen the long shuttered TMS Screaming Room, for those who dare to enter. Maybe Dave can find the key???

Welcome plum.

And I like the way TMS just got sexy. Maybe we should all be opening up a bit more?

I don't even want to know what the double burger euphemism means lol!

Welcome to the forum plum. I suffer from TMJ every now and then. I have a little bit of symptom now so I feel your pain. I hope you can find healing soon. It's not fun!

Oh Tom, now I really do feel shy and a touch silly for resorting to erotic euphemism. Truth is I have no musical ability (but baby, I can dance) and by 'playing the flute' I meant 'smokin' the big fella' aka oral sex... *blushes...smiles*

No worries Plum, sometimes here at ye ol' TMS board, in order to unlock the secrets of the subconscious, we have to resort to some probing, palpation and subterfuge.

We have a cure here folks--Plum has been CURED of her TMS shyness! We've heard of book cures but, this is a new record--cured in ONE THREAD!

Cheers and post some Youtubes of your dancing, if you like, and maybe we can perform some other miracle cures.

My pleasure Plum, I played clarinet myself in high school (very badly), Big Bill (Hillary's hubs) was a sax and burger man.

Tom, you're a gem. That's a grand welcome and serendipity favours me too. I took a look at your lock-jaw post and smiled like an idiot because my main *symptom* is tmj etc...

Well hells bells, welcome Plum, and great timing on your part. After reading your Bio, you may want to read my last post about lock-jaw exercises--if it hasn't been expunged yet for shocking the universal TMS inferiority complex.

Serendipitously, I have a big bag of plums, my brother just gave me off his tree, yummy. I've heard Guiness is good for TMS--not sure if that's taken internally or massaged in.

Cheers
