Posted - 08/06/2012 : 14:03:40 Hello all.. Just discovered this website and TMS as well. Been a sufferer of chronic feet pain past 2 yrs, shoulder pain, finger/wrist pain, hip pain past 3 months. Went through 4 podiatrists and their treatments, neurologist and got a clean EMG, rheumatologists and got clean blood work, orthopedic who didn't think I have osteoporosis. I think I am a TMS patient. Have my first appt this Friday with Dr. Martinez in Boston and very excited. Reading mind body prescription and half way through it.
Anybody who was diagnosed of plantar fascitis/tendinitis and is now running? My feet have made me so immobile/disabled/frustrated and depressed past 2 yrs. Need some motivating stories to get through. Thank you |

Posted - 08/07/2012 : 12:06:16 FYI, regarding foot pain: Lately I've been experiencing significant pain in my left foot when beginning my tennis warm-up. I don't know if it's PF or what? I've run 13 marathons and have no recollection of foot injury besides obvious sprained ankles. I've monitored my tennis foot pain and it disappears after about 10 minutes--don't know exactly because I don't focus on it and I forget about it. It's either a sore spot that goes away with the warm-up, TMS, or both. |

Posted - 08/06/2012 : 20:36:45 I am a patient of Dr. Martinez, although I am still working at internalizing the message that there is no physical cause of my neck pain. He sometimes can seem abrupt, but it's just his manner and if you keep asking him questions he will stay with you and answer them. He also works with a podiatrist, at least at his Dedham office, so I am sure if he thought your issue might be physical he would refer you over. |

Posted - 08/06/2012 : 15:40:11 Welcome, sounds like your're doing everything RIGHT! PF is a common TMS symptom here, not un-coincidentally with the runners. If you do a "Search" of it with the button above right, I'm sure you'll find pages of threads with the words "plantar fascitis" hi-lited in yellow.
G'luck
