Posted - 08/03/2012 : 12:46:22 Hi,
I have been making improvements with my Tms symptoms, but I think I may have an issue to overcome, and I'm not sure how easy it will be. I am a highly sensitive person, and I am working with some pretty insensitive people. Do you think this makes it harder to get over symptoms? I can't afford to quit a job...thx to anyone. |

One thing that no one can avoid is being in a situation that they find upsetting. The good part is simply knowing that the situation is unpleasent may be enough to help you recover.
I remember before I started out I wouldn't even recognize I was in a bad situation like this. I just repressed my emotions and made excuses for why people were a certain way. But now, I am able to simply recognize that certain situations and people anger me.
You think you could try is to journal after you interact with someone who is insensitive. If you are really short on time, try to write out just 5 or 6 words about how that person makes you feel. This could be enough to process the emotions, without completely leaving the situation. Remember, your feelings are valid.
