Posted - 07/05/2012 : 05:41:37 Ok.. So apart from having my backpain that has eased off over the last week (except for today it's back again), I've been experiencing my usual weekly headache a little more frequently now. For some reason I've been getting them whilst at work (I work twice a week) and I feel it has alot to do with me havin my job but the past few days I've been feeling the headaches at home more than usual. Within these headaches I also experience neck (just beneath my skull but on both sides of neck) tenderness.
When I have these headaches I also get this pain in my neck but it brings about a pressure feeling in my head right on top of my head it's an awful full pressure sensation plus a headache that comes and goes and neck pressure tenderness. I used to get this feeling alot more frequently years ago and back then I had a cat scan and an MRI of my brain and the tests came back all clear. Doctors diagnosed it as anxiety/depression back then. Now it rears its ugly head occasionally but thank God not for too long. Does anyone here think that this is yet another TMS symptom? I also get that pressure swaying head sensation at times when I'm out at the shopping centre. Has anyone had these experiences? Thanks all #128515;

Posted - 07/05/2012 : 09:34:23 Thanks for taking my rather curt reply in the right spirit. We answered the first question based on your doctor dx that it was caused by anxiety/depression--are you lucky or what! Most times you go to a doc and they tell you it's something structural that is just a benign anomaly on the imaging to hang their dx on. Anxiety and depression are TMS affective equivalents.
"Trying hard" not to let the symptoms get to you is giving them the attention they want to distract you from the emotional causes. The causes you have stated, hate your job, twins running you ragged, and other stuff only you know about.
The solution is patience with the program, acceptance of the theory rather than "trying", and since you have time to be bored, use that time to think or read about the Good Doctor's TMS theory. Have you studied the things in my sig? Have you looked at all the TMS Youtube vids that pop up after the "TWELVE DAILY REMINDERS" vid? Have you memorized the daily reminder mantras? Have you taken the Rahe-Holmes test to see what the sources of TMS life tension are?
Reeducating your unconscious doesn't happen overnight, after all it may have taken you a lifetime to develop the though patterns that filled your TMS tension reservoir to overfilling creating the physical symptoms.
Patience, more reading and thought.
Damn, my coffee and Pillsbury pastry streudel cooled off, you owe my big time!

Posted - 07/05/2012 : 06:58:15 But I'm trying so hard to not let these symptoms get to me!? What am I doing wrong? I'm currently reading SteveO's book and I'm up to the part when he discovers Sarno. Great book so far! The head pressure makes me feel sickly, it just brings a weakness to my legs and makes me feel so weird and it comes out of nowhere?
TT I only work 2 days a week as I'm looking after my 3 year old twins the other days and wouldn't be able to leave them full-time. It sounds cushy but I actually do not enjoy my job one bit. I think having a boring job is sucking the life out of me. I just feel that 2 days is more than enough to be bored out of my brains! If I had a job I loved I think I probably wouldn't have so much time on my hands to think about my symptoms!? Sorry about ranting, just getting my thoughts out into the open.

DUH, this is much too easy, YES TMS! You could get a brain scan every time you get a headache but it may give you brain cancer. Great job, two days a week, where do I apply? Keep reading the books until you can connect the TMS...dots...quicker. Good signature, keep working on your mantra until your subconscious also believes it.
Cheers
