I was talking to my brother today about some past events in our lives because of some emotions I "stumbled" across a couple days ago...while we were talking, I was telling him in vague terms how TMS healing is making a difference for me. During the conversation, I asked him (because we had a childhood together) if he ever experiences ailments that seem to have no cause or a cause like an old injury. His response was "Yes, but I blame it on my Adiposis Dolorosa" which explained basically has no known cause but has been linked to possible trauma...here's the wikipedia page on it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adiposis_dolorosa

The thing that has me...curious...is that in this case lipomas tend to be the cause of the pain. Lipomas are (usually benign) tumors of fatty tissue. He has had several removed... I have some lipomas in my body, but they haven't caused me any problems that I am aware of. The wiki indicates that the lipomas can compress on nerves and cause pain/weakness.

So I guess my question is this...for anyone out there with any medical knowledge...how likely is it that the lipomas are the cause of the pain/weakness (would they fall under the same category as other nerve compression due to disc herniation, etc, and not truly be the cause of the lasting pain)? Would it make sense that the other physical symptoms are TMS since the brain knows there are lipomas there? Could the lipomas themselves (tumors of fatty tissue) actually be caused by TMS somehow? The list of symptoms sure do sound like TMS symptoms...
