Posted - 02/16/2005 : 22:30:04 I think halitosis is the name for bad breath right?
anyway, I have had a bad taste in my mouth/bad breath off and on since October. I just went through about 3 weeks of a bronchial infection, so my MD (who I like and trust) thought it was reasonable to connect the two to a kind of chronic sinusitis rather than see them as unrelated.
However, since I've been through a dozen or so TMS manifestations over the past decade, I'm always suspicious about long lived problems, especially since I've had a really good year w/ my typical symptoms.
I noticed the other day that the bad taste in my mouth amplified dramatically when I had a big day running rock band classes. I've been getting over the chronic bronchial thing, so the fact the problem w/ the taste resurfaced hugely on a stressful day when I was otherwise feeling good made me really suspicious.
Anyone else experience this, or feel it is a psychogenic symptom?

Posted - 02/19/2005 : 07:53:34 I've had some mild congestion, the remnamt of a cold from several months ago. It just doesn't want to go away. I attribute it to TMS. I feel my autoimune system has been lowererd by increaesed stress levels. |

Posted - 02/18/2005 : 21:19:54 well, it seemed like I didnt have any congestion in my head to me. just the bad taste, then a cough a couple months later. strangest cough I ever had, which preceded any other symptoms by a week or so. and even during my bronchial infection all I had was aches and cough, no real drainage of significance to my awareness of things...

Posted - 02/17/2005 : 07:08:35 Has your recent illness been all in your chest, or in your head too? If you've had head congestion, I'd have to guess it's just the gunk draining down the back of your throat (ie, postnasal drip)
Drink lots of water and maybe gargle with minty Listerine.
