Long story short...

I've been experiencing hand/finger pain for years from long days and nights of computer use. I'm not sure I have TMS. I do fit the personality, have had countless exams and tests that have found nothing physically wrong.

One important thing I've noticed is my hands and fingers seem always end up being cold when they are painful.

Anyone heard of anything like this? Could the cold be due to oxygen deprivation?!?!

Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated.

The stock TMS response answer to injury caused by "keyboarding" (not skateboarding) is that before computers, people typed for hours on end in secretarial pools and the "dis-eases" of carpal tunnel and RSI did not exist. The TMS gremlin plays strange tricks and it can pick on almost any body part to focus our minds on the physical to distract from the emotional pain, your cold hands may be just that. Do a search here and you'll undoubtedly find posts with your symptoms, also in the books--the answers are all there.

G'luck

Sounds very familiar to me.

I've had rsi (=tms) for 12 years and when it's at it's worst, my hands become cold. Probably because of oxygen deprivation.

A couple of months ago, I was holding my hands under hot water 5 times a day to stimulate bloodflow. They just wouldn't warm up anymore.

At that point I became desperate at finding a solution and eventually found this forum. I bought Sarno's book and haven't had cold hands since. A little rsi sometimes, but diminishing fast. I can only recommend you take the same route!
