Posted - 02/03/2012 : 12:15:44 I posted a few days ago to say that I am a TMS therapist practicing in Lexington, Massachusetts. I have received quite a number of responses from folks outside of Massachusetts. I will do phone sessions, and I work out the fee ahead of time, depending on what people can pay. I think it is also important to say that I have had every possible manifestation of this syndrome and recovered, including back pain, shoulder pain, foot pain, hypersensitivity of my skin to the point where it hurt to have my clothes touch me or to wear shoes, burning mouth, hives, IBS, painful nose, knee pain, hip pain and stomach issues. The single most important thing I did to get better, was to fully believe, wholeheartedly, without reservation, that it was possible that my unconscious brain was trying to distract me from painful emotions. The second most important thing I did was to immediately go to my brain whenever I had a physical symptom. If I so much as looked at the part of my body that hurt, I had to remind myself to "go to my brain", because my symptoms were not coming from whatever location on my body hurt. I hope this helps someone out there. If I can recover from 20 years of daily pain, anyone can. I went to Sarno's classes and it still took me another 7 years to "get it." That's why I feel I am in a position to actually help others. I can be reached at 978-505-3003 or debbyconley@gmail.com. Thanks. I hope everyone just takes that leap of faith.

Posted - 02/07/2012 : 10:07:54 Good idea Bryan! I would like to see Ms Conley and other TMS therapists get their just due! Because of Ms Conley I was able to crawl at work today and had a great victory. People at work are noticing I am not limping and hitting the desk with my leg anymore with the spasms liked I used to. We have to get the word out about Sarno. This man is no quack! Many have spent thousands of dollars trying to find relief and I have seen on the Internet where skeptics have put Sarno down. I was a skeptic myself but I was at wits end and I figured that plopping down close to 50.00 for three of his books was not going to hurt me one bit. Yesterday I received the Mind Body Syndrome DVD and it was the best thing I could have done all of this year. Hearing Sarno and seeing the lecture just reinforced what I knew but although some of the questions and answers by the audience looked rehearsed I didnt care. Seeing Sarno talk about muscles and tendons along with the knowledge we need has a great sensation on the brain. Nothing is more empowering than to know that this TMS thing is real and can be fixed.

Posted - 02/03/2012 : 16:23:09 Just a thought, but we should consider a section here where TMS docs can post this kind of stuff. Not just to keep the main page clean, but more to serve as a resource for folks here. I regularly see people asking about TMS therapists in their area. What if we had a subforum?
