Hi all,
I recommend you watch this video....it's high level stuff and talks about what is going on in the brain and why we continue the destructive mental habits we humans have. He also talks about emotions....and since that is a topic we all need to work on I thought I would share this little gem. I've actually just started reading the book also. Stick with it as it gets very interesting.

Thanks for the link, Darko. This is generally in line with so much else I've read in recent years, from "Molecules of Emotion"-Pert, "The Brain that Changes Itself"-Doidge, "Rewire your Brain"-? and many others, whose titles I can't recall at the moment. The basic idea is the credo, "Neurons that fire together, wire together" which is actually what neuroplasticity is all about. Only in the past 10 years or so have these ideas even been discussed, as most experts assumed that after a certain age the brain could no longer change. But, when it was discovered in the late 90's, I think, that brain cells could indeed regenerate (used to be thought, once gone, gone forever), it opened up a whole new world of research. And in regard to TMS-ers, this is a very optimistic development.

Macca,
Can't remember if he mentions it in this video but he says the mind and the body are in constant communication, so the body also talks to the mind. I dont separate the two....if there is emotion trapped in my body then that is a negative thing and needs to be addressed.....otherwise my body mind might need to use some sort of distraction process.....TMS anyone?

I have included a link to another of his videos that goes deeper in explaining what happens. I found this extremely helpful and am looking at putting into my life asap. There are ways that I am "being" that just dont serve me....time to change that :-) This vid goes for an hour but I also highly recommend it....

Here is another slant on memories held in the body http://www.sfms.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Home&CONTENTID=1540&TEMPLATE=/CM/HTMLDisplay.cfm&SECTION=Article_Archives.

Very interesting, Darko. Dr. Dispenza talked about taking the memory out of "the body" and said that emotion exists in "the body" not really in the mind. He talked of the conscious but not the unconscious or subconscious mind.

I believe he said neuroscientists are studying this concept. I'm wondering if he means this is based on a bio chemical, physical approach not a psychological approach.

Thanks for the link Darko. It is very interesting and helpful. All of us on this forum could get rid of all our pains and anxiety if we just do what he taught.
