Posted - 12/24/2011 : 11:33:32 I want to wish my fellow tmser's a wonderful holiday season and a New Year full of love, peace, and freedom from all that bother you.
And remember, tms, anxiety, and it's many other forms or menifestations can be defeated. You can get rid of it. You can take back control of your life. Don't let anyone tell you that it is chronic. Because I know I did got rid of it and the past 5 years were the best years of my life. My life is now full of peace, content, and most of all freedom. Free from all those pain and anxiety symptoms that I suffered from for decades.
There are countless of treatment methods out there for tms/anxiety and I believe I have tried most if not all of them. Some of them make the pain worse, most of them don't work, just a few provide minimal relieve. I didn't get well, I didn't get rid of my pain, my anxiety until I did one thing. One very simple thing and that is stop fearing my symptom.
You will get rid of %90 of your pain/anxiety if you can find someway to stop fearing your symptoms, stop fearing what your symptoms can do to you, stop fear that something bad is going to happen. Just stop!
You will get rid of another remaining %5 of your pain/anxiety if you can correctly identify all the triggers, all the conditionings that you have accquires after months or years of suffering. Identify them, understand that they are harmless, accept that you will have to live with them for a while until your brain also agreed with you that they are harmless, then they will go away and not come back.
You will get rid of the last remaining %5 of your pain/anxiety if you can make changes to your life style, to your thought process so you can live a more peaceful, mindful, and fearless life. Be mindful, live in the now. Remember fame and fortune don't bring happiness. Good memories do.
The root causes of all our tms/anxiety pain are FEAR and SELF. We fear what can and what is happening to us. We focus to much on the self, ourself. So free yourself. Stop the fear and live for others and we will be FREE.
Peace to everyone. |

Posted - 12/29/2011 : 09:07:20 Totally agree. What a wonderful post. I've only known I was a "tmser" since I read Dr. Sarno's book in October. But, wow, what a change already. I like your post so much because you spoke directly about the fear component. I've been doing everything in the book but was focusing more on the rage component. I have become so much more aware of how my body reacts to things going on in my mind and now know that at least for me, the fear is the biggest thing I have to work on. So, thanks again for your post! |
