During my two years of being housebound, I gained a lot of weight, due to overeating a medication popularly known to cause rapid weight gain, nuerontin. Could this be considered a structural abnormality and the reason I'm having trouble getting my back and feet pain to go away?

Golden Girl,

Thanks a lot for the response, I really appreciate it. I guess I'm trying to find as many excuses as possible as to why this isn't TMS. It's nice to have a group of people to talk to that helps you come back to reality.

Thanks,
Taylor

I'm not a doctor, but there appears to me glaring TMS issues in what you've written here!

- housebound for two years (I don't know why of course, but being housebound would cause anyone stress, especially for that amount of time!)

- gained a lot of weight (again, a stress factor: culturally, self esteem wise)

- back and feet pain (TMS)

So rather than directing your concern to a structural abnormality, I would consider the causes of stress/symptoms of stress you're experiencing/have been experiencing.

The healthier your body is, the healthier your mind - and vice versa.

Best of luck!
