Posted - 10/27/2011 : 09:20:58 Hi everyone, Hope you're all onto to wellness, I have a question, curious if this sounds like the TMS gremlin. My right bicep is sore all the time and sometimes I can hear a clicking in my shoulder if I rotate the arm. I do lift weights for toning but I am not remembering doing anything that strained the bicep. If I did, it wasn't apparent to me at the time. I am resting it from lifting for this week so far and probably will for a bit to see if it improves or not. Does anyone think bicep pain can be TMS? Curious what other ligaments, etc may be connected to the bicep that could be the TMS culprit or maybe I did just strain it. Thanks! Mary |

For what it's worth, I started doing a new workout routine two weeks ago, and my right bicep has been killing me for the past two days. I'm not worried about it, though, as I'm sure it's normal fatigue.
As for the clicking sounds: my left should clicks all the time. In fact, when I rotate it for some ballistic stretching, it goes crazy. Never paid it any attention, however. |

You can get tendonitis in the bicep. Common injury for ballplayers. Are you doing bicep curls at the gym?
Any over-use type syndrome can be TMS in my opinion. |

Posted - 10/27/2011 : 20:14:49 Marytabby, I have had something similar for almost a year. Anatomically, it is the brachioradiulus (where the forearm meets the bicep), which rotates the arm. I too thought I did something in the gym at the time. I don't know how long your symptom has been with you, but real injuries heal in a reasonable amount of time.
I wouldn't worry about the shoulder clicking when you rotate your arm. Nearly any body part you move around you can elicit similar sounds from air pockets, tendons moving, etc. |
