I have a long list of tms symptoms/equivalents. After successfully beating back pain, I woke up one morning with a stiff neck and shoulder. The fear of the pain took hold and the pain turned into shoulder pain, elbow pain, and knee pain. The joint pain gets worse when I sleep and mornings are terrible. I was tested for Lyme's and it was negative but I was still put on antibiotics due to my symptoms. A blood test was done and two rheumatology markers (sed rate & c reactive protein) were elevated. Doctor did not see too concerned. My question is can it be tms if there is inflammation present on lab work? Of course, once I found out the inflammation was there, my pain went way up. I have an appointment in 2 weeks to see Dr. Segal, a rheumatologist and tms doctor in D.C. I am having trouble wrapping my brain around this as tms due to the inflammation but the symptoms jump around. How can i develop severe jpint pain overnight? Anyone have experience with this? Thank you.

Inflammation is also a symptom of chronic stress. Your diet can elevate your CRP level and cause you widespread symptoms, too. Have you changed your diet recently or been under any stress? Any digestive issues? There are lots of books on anti-inflammatory diets, but I think you know what you need to do about any stress
