Posted - 05/09/2011 : 08:40:48 So as my recent posts suggest i have been deciding whether to continue with this tms way or go and try some more prolotherapy. About an hour ago i think i just had my answer, i hope!
I went to my councilling session today, and talked about alot of stuff which i havent mentioned in the last few weeks of going. seemed to get alot out, stuff which i would say effected me and made me angry but not big deals in my eyes compared to some other stuff ive been through.
So im driving back home, and all of a sudden i get a really deep ache in my left si joint (just like i used to have before the prolotherapy) it was like a pulsing ache, last maybe seven minutes and i thought maybe this was my mind trying to get my attention away from what i was focusing on during my session. For the past few days ive been asking for a sign that it was tms, hopefully this is it!!
what do guys think ?

Posted - 05/09/2011 : 12:20:11 TMS self-treatmen takes faith and commitment. Most get it, but some don't. Those that don;t almost always don't jump in with both feet. "Maybe it is, maybe it isn't" generally doesn't work. Half way measures are not enough.
You've had a good demonstration of TMS in action. If I were you, I'd grab on and go for the ride. You've nothing to lose but your pain.
All this talk of prolo-this and homeo-that will get you exactly nowhere in my opinion.

Posted - 05/09/2011 : 09:27:45 well i do believe homeopathy works through experience so whether its sugar water or steriods if it works then im game. I do still believe that prolotherapy has helped me, it took me from housebound to at least being able to drive my car, so i gotta give it something.. for me, maybe not for others but for me.

Posted - 05/09/2011 : 09:24:24 If you do a minimal amount of research on prolotherapy you'll find many opinions that say it's quackery. They inject you with sugar water--sugar water is the common term for a placebo. It's like those homeopathic sugar pills you buy at Whole Foods. Homeopathy is a modern day version of voo-doo. Swallowing a sugar pill is one thing but sticking a needle into a joint and injecting it with who know's what, is not something that sounds appealing.
