Posted - 03/22/2011 : 10:57:37 The last few days I've had toothache. .. I can't pin point it down to one tooth, it seems to be effecting most of the bottom teeth... and perhaps changing around also... has anyone experience this as tms? How do you challenge the pain of toothache? Take painkillers?

Posted - 03/23/2011 : 08:50:00 At times Ive had the kind of pain that feels like its a toothache but was just TMJ which of course is stress related and is pretty much TMS in action in the mouth.I did go to dentist to make sure it was not decay. Now when i get it I know what it is so I just relax jaw and my mind set and it quickly goes away.

Posted - 03/22/2011 : 22:08:50 Hi! Despite my mix of success and non-success with various TMS stuff, the whole tooth thing has been one of my greatest miracles. I think if you do a search on my name and tooth pain or TMJ you will find the story.
And of course, see the dentist!
Love is the answer, whatever the question |

Posted - 03/22/2011 : 20:00:17 I have tooth pain every day. That is my area affected and I can pretty much differentiate the pain that comes from tense muscles and a real toothache from dental causes. I agree with Art. See a dentist. Teeth are nothing to play around with. They have a way of pinpointing which tooth it is. Pain as you know can be referred to other teeth. Have them do both a bitewing and periapical x-ray. If nothing shows, go to an endodontist who will do heat and pulp tests.
In the meantime, it's been shown that ibuprofen works best for a toothache, better than some narcotics. Don't use heat. If there's an infection, it can cause it to spread. Just ice on the outside of your face if it helps. Please post what dentist says and I hope you feel better. Toothaches are the worst. |
