Just curious if anyone has ever taken this old and popular personality test, with 650 questions, which purports to assess you in 10 different areas. Interesting for me, because while it seemed fairly accurate in most areas, it had me low on the hypochondriasis scale, which is certainly news to me.

Art, these tests are fun, and this one is supposed to be pretty accurate, but you're right; it doesn't sound accurate in that area...unless you look at it in this way: It depends on whether you answer the questions (are you feeling poorly, are you in poor health...) emotionally or intellectually. Emotionally, often I feel like there is something dreadfully wrong, but intellectually I know it's crap. So, I answer what I logically believe rather than what I sometimes feel. And therefore, probably the reason for the low hypochondria rating. I don't know, seems to make sense.

wrld,

If I were an "lol" type person, that's what I'd have typed :>)

I took that test many years ago, tho don't remember the results. Clearly your test result was wrong on that measure I'd say. I don't put much stock in those tests generally.

Although, once I took a test like that and carefully answered as neutrally as I could as I was nervous they'd think I was too neurotic. Figured I'd out-foxed them until the results came back. Seems the very act of answering everything in the middle-range was a surefire indicator of anxiety neurosis.

HAh! Only one I fooled was myself!
