Posted - 08/30/2010 : 14:37:45 I haven't been on this board in awhile because...well...because I've been feeling so well! I suffered with nasty back pain for 7 years before discovering Sarno. I have occasional very mild flare-ups. I shrug it off and it goes away. It ALWAYS goes away.
I didn't just suffer with back pain for 7 years, I saw a chiropractor regularly for 7 years. Very nice and caring man, but he was obviously never going to help me. His receptionist called me last week wanting to know if I needed an appointment because I haven't been in the office in awhile. I had a really hard time not laughing when I was on the phone with her. I just said no and said I was doing fantastic.
I had the strangest sense of satisfaction and giggly joy saying no to a chiro appointment. |

Posted - 08/31/2010 : 11:09:03 Fantastic! I too saw a chiro after the doctors had no clue what was going on with my back pain, lower abdominal pain, right testicular pain and sciatica. I saw a chiro for a year I think. She was great, very nice and caring lady. I was taking Dr Schubiners course and about the 3rd week of his course I had an appointment with my chiro, (I only seen her once a month b/c of my finances). Anyways, I had been pain free and since it seemed like this would be the last time I would see her. I figured Id go to the appointment and bid farewell to everyone. I did not tell her or her staff anything about dr schubiners course. I laid on the table and she told me that she had never seen my back so loose and limber. She said I was usually very stiff and she couldnt find these little things she called "stress knots" in my upper back. Before, she would massage in that area and I could feel little knots of somethign that were painful when she rubbed them. This time I notice they were gone also. She said that the "stress knots" were actually tension in the muscles.
She asked what had I done different and I told her about how I read sarnos book and took schubiners course. I havent been back to see her in well over a year. I do occasionally get the lower right abdominal pain or the right testiuclar pain that for me is related to my sciatica. It do what i was taught and it doesnt last long. It used to last for days and even weeks and months sometimes. Thanks for sharing your story with us. I thought it was great! |

Posted - 08/31/2010 : 10:21:48 This is hilarious! I have a good friend who's chiro called her after she stopped all 'treatment' and was wondering where she'd been.
She just laughed and said she didn't need to see him anymore!
