I have never been prone to headaches..The last few days, however, I have had one on the right side of my upper forehead. It's semi-sharp pain that comes and goes..And, on top of that my head just hurts..not fun at all! Yes, I have a lot of financial stress and personal stress right now..But..it gets confusing because I am also dealing w/ peri-menopausal symptoms and hormone fluctuations like crazy! Headache is one of the possible side effects of peri-menopause..So, how do I determine what the heck is causing it? My upper right side of my neck is tight, as usual..Maybe it is coming from there..I am leaving for San Diego for a few days w/ a dear friend..she is treating! Can't wait..hope it goes away when I smell the ocean!

Good job Karen! You're really getting this TMS stuff. Good news also causes stress subconsciously. Anything that threatens to change your homeostasis, your comfort zone, causes stress and raises the TMS reservoir. For example, on the Rahe-Holmes list, paying off one's mortgage earns stress points.

TT! I was under 150 on the stress test..surprised..I thought I would be off the charts..But, the kind of stress I have, in some ways, isn't even on the list!

Tom! Wow that link for that museum in SD looks so cool..Thank you! I am going to definitely go there and talk to them about getting in..In fact, I may contact them now and see if I can bring some pieces with me! I soooo appreciate this sweetie! I also looked at that stress link and BOY OH BOY do I have A LOT of the top stressors going on in my life..Also, guess what??? An old boyfriend from age 14 found me on Facebook..He has a girlfriend but wants to be best pals w/ me again. I told him about NJ and how homesick I am, etc..He offered me a place to stay for free if I teach music lessons out of his store he is opening up! So holy cow, I have to watch that TMS Gremlin like a hawk because I have a HUGE decision to make! He said I could bring Kaya, my wolf hybrid..but i'd have to keep my 155 lb baby in the kitchen when i am not home..Ahhhhhh..i am babbling..Anyway, the headache is gone but now the NECK is tightening! Damn that TMS!
Hugs,
K

Here's a link, it's not as shabby as it looks in the pic.

http://www.mcasandiego.org/

I nearly got thrown out of there once--but that's another story. Once heard "the man" himself, Echard Tolle, speak there.

Karen, now don't forget to check out the Rahe-Holmes list to discover what's causing your head-ache.

If I had a dollar for every bad headache I've had in the last 10 years, I'd be a rich man.

Carry on, Karen :>)

Hi Karen, I was wondering how long it would be before the poster-child for TMS came back to check in. Well I can see at least four life stressors that you listed that could be causing your head-ache.

What I recommend you do is, click on the link below. Check out the Holmes-Rahe list and you will quickly determine the cause of your head-ache. I'm glad to see you're figuring out this TMS thing.

Enjoy the beach, although we're having a very cool summer on the left coast. Check out the La Jolla Modern Art Museum if you're up there.

Cheers
