Thanks Karen, all is forgiven,, no need to be very sorry--just a little sorry is more than enough. Depression is one of my TMS affective symptoms also, I've got a pretty good handle on it for now, and as we experience more, I think we learn not to take life's vicissitudes so seriously.

Talk to ya' soon, the hot-tub beckons.

TT,
I had another insight about why I go from one extreme to the other on here..either posting like mad or running away for weeks or months or even years..I think also when I get a little bit of relief I don't want to be reminded that undoubtedly TMS will rear it's ugly head probably sooner then later..It's like I am a little 'free' for a bit b4 the next bout..Bad attitude, I know..I should have realized that you guys would be curious how the gig went and I feel really bad about it..so sorry, again..
RIght now the TMS went into my knee, the one that was injured seriously 3-4 times in my life and one time recently..I blame it on the weight that i cannot stand for more then a minute in one place and even chat w/ someone..I have to sit down..BUT, it's probably old fashioned TMS..The knee even feels rough to the touch on the cap..they said it was chondromalasia (sp?) patella..yikes..But, the ortho also said I would make a full recovery..I have been babying it so the muscles need work to be as strong as the other leg..Enough said..I am babbling..Thanks for telling me how you felt..I learned something important..

Hi Karen, Yes you are--that is--"overly sensitive & neurotic". Not mad but slightly peeved. You get all this support here and do your gig successfully and we get no feed-back for weeks. But, I don't take it personally since this is the internet and anything goes. I did declare you the "Poster Child for TMS", so I do understand.

It's just funny, that you expect immediate gratification, yet you disappear for weeks without a word and we're left wondering what happened?

I saw your posts and was going to respond in due time, but I also have many activities outside of this board.I'm glad you are using your hands again and we were able to get you through your latest bout of TMS. I've come to realize, that looking for feed-back on this board, in the interest of TMS academic science, is comparable to coitus interuptus.

Don't be a stranger, anxiously looking forward to your next TMS crisis.

Your Pal,
tt

Forest!
Thanks for the link to the "how to navigate" on the radioblogtalk
page. It makes it easier to figure out. I was going to add the link to this thread to help TennisTom out and ran outta time.
Thanks again!

Rinkey

I find the blogtalkradio web pages cluttered and hard to use. I tried to simplify things in the wiki page on the show, which provides background information and direct links to listen to the show with Dr. Sarno. It's still a bit cluttered but at least there is no advertisements. It shows you how to either listen on your computer or download the mp3 for your iPod, too, which is nice:

Dr. Sarno also dropped in during another episode of the show. However, this Episode focused mostly on Michael Brown, the author of The Presence Process. It was interesting, though, in that Dr. Sarno talked about how he feels about the Presence Process in that episode. He's generally positive, and you can read a transcript of his remarks at the wiki page about The Presence Process. You can find links to listen to this other show online or download the mp3 at the wiki page about the radio show.

Hey TT-

Try this link for the radio show. There's an advertisement that comes up with one of those twirling circle things, but you can close it after a few seconds.
The radio show should start up on it's own. Dr. Murphy and Sklar had to wait a few minutes at the beginning of the show for Sarno to get home through downtown Manhattan.

Let me know if this link works for you.

Hi Carole,

I Stumbled across the new book coming out soon while ordering an AudioBook version of Dr. Sarno's "HEALING BACK PAIN". It should be good since it's written by two psychologists who work with the Good Doctor. It should also be good because it will be coming from a psyhchological perspective rather than a physical one; less symptom talk, more about the origins of the pain in the mind. The CD and the new TMS book will give me a couple of TMS Knowledge penicillin booster shots. I did just finish reading Rod Laver's biography which has given my tennis knowledge a nice boost.

Thanks for the link to the radio show, but I tried it and got a lot of code. Is it supposed to be audio? I'm not good at this computer stuff, so maybe I missed pressing something.

Between the lines of code I saw the show was produced by Howard Stern's man Baba Booey, that's cool, and one of the doctor's featured was published by Namaste Publishing, which is also good, (although two of my physical triggers were two "dumb" moves by me on the Yoga floor.

Cheers,
tt

Thanks TT!

This is good to know. I have a friend who's been waiting for the book to be published. Looks like it'll be out soon.

Have you had a chance to listen to the radio interview of Dr. Sarno with Dr. Frank Murphy and Dr. Sklar?
It was recorded on May 18th, 2010. It's a good one.

Scroll down the page a little and you'll see it.
