I always had low blood pressure until recently..I also have gained weight and there is A LOT of stress in my life..ie..possibly moving, money issues, my cd, art, etc..Too much going on..My highest reading of my life was after a big argument w/ someone close to me..It was 153/89..the next readings went down to 145/82, which isn't as terrible..I want to check it again, but I don't want to know on one level because I am not running to the doctor right away due to money issues and fear. Can TMS appear as high blood pressure? And, don't you have to have consistent high numbers over a while b4 you could potentially have problems? Worried sick and hope for some feedback..
Thanks,
Karen

Just try to eat healthier when you eat! You'll feel better that way anyway!

Thanks winnieboo..:)
I check it at CVS pharmacy, which i normally check it..A dear friend back East is a chiropractor and he wasn't that concerned about my #'s..He said to relax, start to exercise again and lose the weight..The trouble is I eat when I am stressed, and I am stressed now, big time..Thinking of moving back to New Jersey again with my 180lb wolf-dog..Long story why it's extra stressful..Appreciate your support!
Blessings,
Karen

Anxiety can appear as high blood pressure! You're right 145/82 isn't too terrrible (didn't the doctors reassure you?)? I always had low pressure as well, used to run and was a gym rat, but when TMS struck three years ago, it spiked up. Has finally gone back to normal. I really wouldn't worry about it, unless the doctors checking you had some concern. Your pressure can spike just from being nervous about the doctor visit. Prolonged inactivity can also contribute, especially if you were more active previously.
