Posted - 01/10/2010 : 12:04:05 I got off the medicine I was taking daily (lyrica) but kept the strong pain meds I take only when in excruciating pain. I just had a relapse that sent me back to the percocet, which I took only as long as I was in agony, then stopped. It does seem to take the edge off. Even Sarno said it's OK to take them sometimes. I think you have to find your own way; everyone's different. |

Posted - 01/09/2010 : 19:32:25 well, i am convinced that i have TMS/MBS, but the pain meds do take away the pain in my sitting bones, where the majority of it is . i don't use much, but i don't like the way they make me feel and i want to get off them. i'm weaning myself off and facing the pain head-on. it hurts like hell, but i have to do it, i will do it, i can do it.
i couldn't agree more about the role of psyche/emotions in human health issues. it's just unfathomable to me that dr. sarno's ideas are not more known, or maybe they are but our medical establishment chooses to ignore them because they make SO much money by keeping things the way they are. it's immoral and disgusting to me.

Posted - 01/09/2010 : 10:08:34 It is my Experience that Pain killer does not work for TMS / RSI Pain. Pain killer works excellently for structural pain but not for TMS/ RSI pain.
If your symptoms are TMS and you have been convienced enough then I suggest throw all medicines and proceed with psychological approach.
75 % human diseases are psychosomatic origin. Most of the Doctors are just Babies. They ignore this fact.
