I've had pain in my the outside middle of my upper right arm for three weeks. It's much worse when I lift the arm up high or reach out to the far right (like when I'm horsing around with my teenage son and trying to block one of his hooks). I can't sleep on the right side now. My friend told me that this is referred pain from my shoulder and I probably have a bone spur in the shoulder and may need surgery. He thinks that I should see an orthopedist. That seems a bit drastic. I've had so many TMS tendonitis bouts in so many parts of my body - that have resolved themselves - with a little TMS thinking and patiently waiting for time to pass - that I was hoping this was just another brain generated thing. A telling bit of information is that the PF in my left foot has nearly completely resolved itself, so I am leaning towards thinking that this is symptom substitution - especially since my dreams last night had to do with childhood trauma...Any thoughts? Has anyone successfully resolved these type of symptoms without medical attention?
