hey everyone, I am new to this forum, just would like to say Hi. I have had TMS for 2 years, and keep battling everyday to rid it totally. MY question is does anyone expierence different levels of pain, some more severe than others. Though all pains are hellish, I just find when my pain occurs it leaves me feeling detached, I am able to move but it feels like i am drained and in a fog.

Baseball 65:

Going by your posts, it seems like you have a lot of experience dealing with TMS and anger. I feel like I need to talk to at least one person who has TMS. I don't know if this is the right thing to do on this forum, but I can be reached at 1-800-632-2350 (ext 22344). If calling is something you can't do, I understand.

The thing is that I'm going night after night without getting enough sleep, and I'm getting fed up.

..anyways,everybody experiences (ed) their pain different. In fact, that is a Hallmark sign of TMS.
I remember going to the Chronic pain clinic and those stupid pictures of an androgynous human....we were supposed to draw and illustrate where our pain was, describe it,and quantify it with numbers.

I got so tired of those,I used to just scribble over the face of the picture like a 4 year old,and turn it it...I'd write: "It F-ing hurts everywhere, and it changes all the time!"

Everybodies brain interprets pain differently, but the one thing that is consistent about TMS is: It can hold your attention and keep you in the NOW,so you don't accidentally go looking anywhere else in your psyche.

The individual descriptions are as different as fingerprints, though some of us have similar patterns.

welcome
