I was listening to the John Tesh Radio Show tonight, and he mentioned that there was a study done in which electrodes were placed on the backs of people experiencing lower back pain.

To summarize the results of this one, roughly, the study indicated that people who were witholding anger often experienced lower back pain.

The explanation given is that when you're angry, the large muscle groups in the body prepare for a fight, which can cause pain.

I'd love to see more on this study, if anyone can find it. John Tesh usually puts info on the topics he mentions on his web site, but I couldn't find anything on this study, which was published in a psychosomatic medicine journal.

(By the way, John Tesh mentioned a few months ago that he had back surgery and feels much better.)
