I'm going to try and put together an article on TMS for submission to newspapers, hopefully Comment is Free (CiF) on the Guardian website......
another article i've written is likely to be published on the site, so i have some optimism that this might get published. I initially wrote an article based on personal experience, but in order to get published on CiF i think it has to have more of an angle - eg "the failure of conventional medicine in treating chronic pain...." for which i need really to take the medical angle, ie. medical trials, failure of current medical practice etc etc. I've got the Sarno books, plus a couple of other sources, but i could do with as much medical cites as possible - ideally with hyperlinks....
so what is out there on the web? Anyone able to help? Many thanks!

Posted - 11/20/2009 : 17:55:24 in looking on the web i came across this absolutely brilliant article:
http://scienceblogs.com/cortex/2009/01/back_pain.php
5000 words, probably the most concise, well written account of TMS and current scientific understanding i've read. It should definitly be linked to somewhere on the forum/wiki....... |

Colleen Perry wrote an article for The Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/colleen-perry/treating-chronic-pain---t_b_265351.html Maybe you could get some ideas from there? Or get them to publish her article?

thanks, some interesting discussion which will be useful -
i'm really after any concrete medical stuff though -
medical trials which show failure of conventional treatment,
trials of sarno's methods....
these seem a bit thin on the ground...

Posted - 11/17/2009 : 16:56:08 There are a couple of current/recent threads on the TMSwiki that you might find helpful - eg this one on renaming TMS -
