I think the latest edition of House may be of interest to this discussion board: http://www.megavideo.com/?v=4870KNXL

so house's pain goes away when he's happy....hmm

I was talking w/ dr. Schubiner one time and he coins me and this other dude he had as a patient as twins because we sound alike on the phone.

He reccommended we contact each other and we did notice that we sounded alike...haha...and were Hardcore tms sufferers...

Anyways, as I lost contact w/ him Schuby told me he had talked to him recently and that he found when he was happy the pain did'nt bother him.

I suppose being happy does'nt mean you walk around with a smile on your face all day whistling dixie, however, your'e simply doing what you love regardless of what others think may do the trick. House does'nt sport a smile (unless he tricks Cuddy and Wilson ) and yet he found "diagnosing" fufils the void.

When I was deep into all my soul searching read-a-thon the last couple years, I kept wanting the opposite of what I felt: physical pain, anxiety, and depression.

I think Baseball65 said it here one time "the opposite of low self esteem isn't high self esteem".

It made me think, you know, I sure don't want these negative feelings, but at the same time do I really want to walk around like I'm glowing all the time and be inhumanly accepting and pleasurable? No.....besides thats a search that will never end.
I just want to be normal.

Perhaps being normal is happy.

P.S.
Warning Spoiler:

I thought the end was hysterical when "13" found the correct diagnosis on the internet forum, and later the audience found out it was House. Absolutely, just brilliant writing!

I seen it, and yes I do agree the mind is a powerful thing.
I wonder how the he'll be in the next shows, mentally, if he'll be
nicer or what.
