Posted - 09/17/2009 : 08:45:38 Based on someone's post (sorry, I forgot) I went to www.rapidrecovery.net and tried to read this book, which was supposed to be available online in its entirety. In fact, all I could get was the table of contents. I was so disappointed. Has anyone else had this experience? Is this book worth purchasing? |

Posted - 09/20/2009 : 09:28:45 In terms of your original question as to whether the book is worth purchasing: absolutely! It was Fred's book which helped me understand TMS and how to overcome it. Personally, I can't recommend it highly enough. (Just in case it is different, I read the print version some years ago as opposed to any download version).
(NB: I haven't read Scott Brady's book so if that works for you then that's great).

Posted - 09/18/2009 : 17:42:05 You guys are right. I see the parts of the book that are omitted are the 9 steps to recovery, which of course is exactly the part I was interested in. In have Scott Brady's book, and actually it seems quite similar. |

Posted - 09/17/2009 : 19:05:21 Hmmm... I've tried to access the full book and have been unable to do so. I suspect that it is because Fred hasn't made the entire book available. Rather, he has just made a "preview" available. See the following FAQ: http://books.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=91570&hl=en
Each time I've looked at the book, certain pages have been omitted. I think that that is to get you to buy the book.

Posted - 09/17/2009 : 13:17:54 It's a great book. It's the push-through-the-pain/behavior mod/creative visualization version of Sarno TMS. Not for gradualists. It presents a very encouraging personal success story as well. |

Posted - 09/17/2009 : 09:07:57 I just tried and could access the whole book. You just have to click on the link. It takes a minute depending on your connection speed for the pages to load, but I had no issues. |
