Posted - 09/15/2009 : 14:15:56 Hi all; I am new to the forum. Years ago got rid of debilitating neck pain with Sarno. In the last few years I got sciatica. After epidurals, pain meds, considering surgery (!!!) i got rid of it with books of Sarno & Scott Brady (a TMS doc in Orlando). Was feeling great when I was slammed with left sided pain the pain doc said was facet syndrome. It feels like a knife in ribs, comes for no reason whatsoever, lasts about a week, then goes away and comes back after a few months. I know this is TMS too but nothing I did made a dent in the pain, no journaling, mental exercises, thinking psychological, nothing. Any thoughts? The pain came during the week of 9/11, anniversary of my parents death and my birthday too. |

Posted - 09/16/2009 : 07:31:49 It seems you are treating your TMS symptoms like individual illnesses. They are not. The cause is the same. The symptom isn't the cause. Don't put so much pressure on yourself. Try to get back to living and stop waiting for the pain to appear again. Keep reading a bit every day journal if that helps but don't make it your life's work. Sooner or later your brain will get it. Sooner I hope for you. Marsha |
