Very interersting article. Seems to tie in to Doc Sarno in terms of repression and blood flow. May be helpful to some.

Actually there ia bit at the beginning of the article which explains that natural trepanation can be achieved through meditation and surgery is definitely not recommended.

Trepanation is a very crude and external way of doing the same thing that advanced qigong and meditation under supervision of a master may do. I am presenting this article to illustrate the benefits of advanced meditation that may result in a subtler internal "natural" trepanation (protrusions on the top of Buddha , Moses and other enlightened master's heads) and validation of psychology of "Anti-Ego" cultivation methods.

What is interesting about the rest of the article is how it talks about the ego and conditioning and how these two can prevent blood from flowing to various parts of the brain so that we are actually not using over 90% of our brain. This ties in with much of what Sarno is saying in The MBP . A very good read actually as long as you don't go for the hole in the head bit.

I noticed that refernece to trepanation, too. I once saw some TV documentary about it or maybe it was "Ripley's Believe It Or Not?" An attractive English lady videoed herself cuting a hole in her forehead in her bathroom mirror. It's the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. Not for the squeamish. Apparently it's been used since ancient times for stress relief. Come to think of it, it's probably not any stranger than a lot of medical procedures performed by modern medicine - like amputating perfectly good hips and replacing them with titanium and ceramic. Don't anyone get out your Dremel tool, just keep reading Sarno.

Yes, that is an interesting article - I'm not quite sure about the conclusion though - that the answer to our problems is "trepanation". I had to look that up - it involves having a small hole drilled in your skull!

I think I'll stick to "thinkning psychological"

Cheers
