Allow - To let do or happen; permit: To offer a possibility; make it possible through a specific action or lack of action for something to happen; Resist - To strive to fend off or offset the actions, effects, or force of; To remain firm against the actions, effects, or force of; withstand; To keep from giving in to or enjoying.
Any time you have physical discomfort or an equivalent tension/anxiety induced symptom of any kind, whether you call it emotional or physical pain within your body, it always indicates that you have created resistance of some kind with your thoughts and behavior patterns. The solution every single time is to recognize this resistance and redirect out of it and into a more allowing thought or behavior.
It is imperative that you identify how and when you are being resistant in your thoughts and behaviors. -What do you say to yourself when you are trying to please others? -What are you thinking when you are being overly self-conscious? -How are you behaving when you are in a controlling and striving mode? Do you feel balanced, open and free when in these modes? We know that the answer to this question is: No. So this less than ideal feeling is your indication to yourself that you are slipping into negative thoughts/behaviors which are always (closed-off, denying, resistant and non-allowing). And your system always takes this communication to provide restriction in your body in some way.
What do you do now? State your inner mantra. “I am where I am right now, being/thinking in a resistant way is not helping me, I choose not to put my energy into that type of behavior. I am redirecting right now to a thought/behavior that is more open and allowing. I am bringing the best of me to right now” Now take deliberate control of where you are focusing your energy (thoughts/behaviors). This is Think Clean, this is your work. This is how you reverse chronic patterns that are causing your inner tension/anxiety. Look for a new or different aspect of the person or situation. Reframe the situation into a more positive view. Choose to have your new perspective be more open and more allowing. Use the, “what if…” dialogue to help guide you in a more positive frame, to help steer you in the direction of how you want to feel. Remember you are deliberately guiding/focusing your thoughts. You can choose to remain in worry or you can choose to direct out of it. This applies to every chronic pattern that you have. Realize that you cannot just do this exercise/practice intellectually. Be genuine, truthful and open. Intellectualizing this stuff has no healing power at all. You must now genuinely invest in this practice. Ask yourself where you are investing your energy: Is it in open—allowing patterns or in closed—resistant patterns. Once you are mindful of the chronic, resistant patterns you can stop making these “painful” energy investments.
Reversing this disorder, healing your mind-body-emotional being, requires a high energy/focus investment from you. This is a “now” investment. You must be present now, mindful now, and aware now, to reverse this disorder—to heal.
Be Mindful & Stay the course,

Posted - 04/24/2009 : 05:01:24 Monte is very correct. Living in present is 100 % solution for all our problems. But most difficult thing on this plantet is living in present. I am sure that by just living in present our all TMS problems can be thrown from our system in one stroke. Only meditation makes this possible.
Meditation enable us to have regulatory control over our own minds upto such an extent that without our will not a single thought will enter in our mind. |
