Sorry if its too graphic..
For 3 and a half years following a bout of unprotected sex, I've had burning urination (nothing else). Been tested through and through, no bacteria, no nothing, but some evidence of prostatitis. Antibiotics did nothing.
I had a double varicocele removal surgery last year (incisions in the same lower abdomen area as a vasectomy). After "handling" myself afterward, I began to feel pain on the wound are but especially where the shaft met the testes on the left (the left side surgery had been more major). I switched hands. Pain started in the right too. Ejaculation makes the entire area feel really wounded, like someone cut me
Urologist who performed the surgery has never heard of it. None of the other urologists could understand the cause of the chronic burning either. A cystoscopy (urethral exam) showed nothing wrong. Even if it was prostatitis for sure, it seems like one of those things doctors actually don't understand for ****, like fibromyalgia.
I'm 24. I definitely have my own issues surrounding sexuality and self esteem and the works. I'm aware of that. But this puts me over the edge. I need to get out there despite them all, and what's the point if I meet someone and I'm afraid of hurting myself. It's really killing me. I've lost my job and I had to stop therapy when it had barely started. How do you ignore something that's your main biological function? It's one thing that truly makes me feel like a complete failure, and to top it off, i feel partially responsible having had unprotected sex that time.
has anybody seen this kind of thing vanish? Does it ring any bells? Please help, I'm really flipping out about it.

You are not alone. I have been battling a pain that two uroligists though was prostatitis and jock itch. It wasn't. I was on antibiotics, etc. Nothing helped. I am under Dr. Sarno's care. I now have good days and bad days, but I know that its TMS. You will be fine. |

I had similar problems.I had burning urinations,pain in groins,perineum,testicals,penis,lost libido......Pains were so bad sometimes that i couldnt sit.I tought i had some nerve entrapment but since 3 diferent doctors told me diferent story i didnt know what to do.Thank god i found Sarno.When i read the book i had some succes after only 1 week.But there was so much ups and downs.It took me about 8 months to get rid of it all. |

There is a story on Dr. Schubiner's TMS videos, which are on the internet for free, about groin pain.

I'm not sure where in this video series the groin pain story is, but it only takes an hour to watch all four of these. Schubiner is not the most charistmatic speaker, but this hour of programming features a lot of information and medical studies about TMS that are valuable. I found it very helpful (plus, it's free).
The story he relates may have some commonality with your story. He talks of a guy whose sister had just died, and then went to a bachelor party featuring a stripper. Afterwards, the guy developed groin pain. He went to numerous doctors to determine why, who could give him no explanation. After a couple of yeras, he wound up in Dr. Schubiner's office, who suggested it was the guilt created by the lost sister/stripper combination, and the pain went away.
Whether your pain in the groin is linked in your brain to fear/anger/guilt about your unprotected sex I can't tell you, but if docs have ruled out everything else, it's worth considering.
