I just spent about five of the past hours typing observation reports and analysis for my teacher training program. This would have been impossible without believing my former RSI pain was TMS. My wrists might be a little sore, but I'm not in excruciating pain. Very different.

I've gained awareness of my posture from yoga. I've recently started working out at the gym again. These two things both improved my posture, but I was cured of my TMS pains for two years before that all while being a little overweight without much muscle.

lessons in the "alexander technique" are excellent for improving ones posture, but the claims of it "curing" any pain are exaggerated. I tried it many years ago and I still had back pain, but my posture has been good since then.

As Dr. Sopher often writes, "You are not fragile"

If you want to improve your posture, just become aware of it and do it naturally. Our bodies are strong and we don't need devices to teach us how to sit or stand. Develop the 'good posture' habit naturally.

thanks for your opinions. I know your probably right, but I read forward head posture is hard on the neck.

Don't do it. You'd be sending the message that your neck posture is the cause of the issue. As Marsha said.

If you get a posture pal you are sending a message to your brain that you believe that your problem is structural.
What is a posture pal?
Have you watched http://video.google.com/videoplay John Stossel’s video about Dr. Sarno?
Check it out .It might help you make a decision.
