Posted - 03/14/2009 : 01:34:29 One of the first strange symptoms I got earlier this summer and sill occasionally get is a brief burning pain in my urethra almost near the opening...First I thought maybe it was Bladder infection, In the beginning it did bother me during urination and even sex..It lasted about a week but I sometimes still feel a little pinch in that area..After several weeks without it I lifted a box at work and felt it again suddenly...This was after I had my Lower back MRI and thought maybe it was a symptom of sciatica or some nerve impengment..( This was pre Sarno)...But I could not find any information about this type of penis pain and sciatica/or nerve impengment.. But it does make since to be a TMS thing...Has anyone had this??
It was something that I worried about but since I have seen no reason for it when I comes on it goes just as quick with little effort om my part...I think my brain realized the game was up so it does not bother with that as much it knows my back and legs is enough..Interesting... |

Posted - 03/15/2009 : 16:56:34 I've had very similar symptoms and like you, they came and went within a relatively short period of time. Maybe a week or two. They certainly had the characteristics of TMS... but who knows? I'm just glad they went.
I think Scott's advice is spot on. |

Posted - 03/14/2009 : 14:27:05 I had pelvic pain symptoms for years. It was the one TMS manifestation that distracted me well enough for it to stick around and become chronic. If you get yourself checked out at a urologist and he can't find an actual infection (not just "evidence of an infection" which the mind can initiate) or cancer you're good to go for treating it as TMS.
