Posted - 02/17/2009 : 18:31:34 Mostly I have been having good days with very little noticeable pain. Today was not so good. I think that for most of my life I have felt as if I had on a pair of shoes that didn’t quite hurt but I knew I had them on. Some days or months or years they felt too tight and my focus was only on my shoes. OK so you are saying this woman is “NUTS”. I don’t really mean that my shoes are too tight, but that I have always been aware of my physical self. Sometimes that awareness translates itself into terrible pain. I have had TMS symptoms forever. Has anyone else felt like this? Marsha

Posted - 02/17/2009 : 19:40:04 I have only been aware of my physical self since, I started having feelings of not being well.
I would like to think that when the symtoms actually do disappear that i would mentally recognize that and not be so self-aware like I used to be.

Posted - 02/17/2009 : 18:38:49 I think that those of us with TMS are actually very in tune with our bodies, almost too much so.
I had always prided myself on that fine tuning until it kind of turned itself on me in the way of TMS.
That is, we give way too much attention to the physical aspects of our bodies, to the neglect of the spiritual/mental aspect of them
Hope this helps.
