Hi,
I’m a 57 year old female and a long-time follower and advocate of Dr. Sarno. I tend to try to not pay too much attention to new pains in my body since they are almost always TMS.

However, 2 ½ months ago, I began having a little shooting pain in my groin. This was new to me, but I tried to ignore it and keep exercising. Long story short, it got worse and I woke up one morning with the groin pain so bad I could put no weight on my left leg and my lower back was in full spasm. I had a horrible black bruise going down the inside of my leg. According to what I’ve read, a sure sign of a groin strain.

A month later I saw a physical therapist who diagnosed a pelvic strain with groin pull. I have been doing exercises to strengthen the pelvic region and there has been improvement but I still have to use a crutch much of the time.

This really seems like a genuine injury to me (especially when I saw the bruise) but am wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this. The physical therapist tells me it is a ligament and from what I’m reading, ligaments can be hard to heal.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

it came out of nowhere, shooting pains, "lower back in full spasm", in my experience tms CAN get extremely nasty like this.

Steve,

Can you explain how that sounds like classic tms? It sounds nothing like classic tms to me.
